The Ticking of Time:

In the farthest corner of the attic, tucked away deep beneath a thick layer of dust and a stack of yellowed car magazines from the seventies, it lay. A round, black speedometer with a trip odometer and an orange needle that had long since lost its luster. The numbers on its roller stood frozen at 68,376 km.

Trip odometer reset pin is missing.
